Hellooooo (:
Its Thursday morning and im in my 3rd lesson of media. Before our break we were set the task to get in groups of 3 and make a powerpoint presentation on Camera Movement. Soon were going to have to present it to the rest of the class to show what we have learnt and to see what other groups have learnt aswel. But now we've bin told to update our blogs and write about what weve learnt while doing our presentations.
Camera movement is all the different ways in which the camera can be situated. There are many different ways that this can be including:
Pan-Horizontal movement, left and right.
Tilt-Vertical movement of the camera angle, i.e. pointing the camera up and down (as opposed to moving the whole camera up and down).
Track-Roughly synonymous with the dolly shot, but often defined more specifically as movement which stays a constant distance from the action, especially side-to-side movement.
Dolly-The camera is mounted on a cart which travels along tracks for a very smooth movement. Also known as a tracking shot or trucking shot.
Zoom-Technically this isn't a camera move, but a change in the lens focal length with gives the illusion of moving the camera closer or further away.
Reverse Zoom - this is similar to zoom but its the opposite to reverse zoom so starts from up close and moves closer away.
